Interceptus is a barcode printing software application developed by Herbert Healthcare to facilitate the quick and seamless implementation of barcode printing from any IMS capable of producing a text output in either a report or text file.
Interceptus takes advantage of windows printing and is compatible with all major brands of thermal desktop printers and laser printers including • Zebra • Intermec • Sato • TEC • Datamax • HP and • Brother (please contact us about other brands)
Interceptus allows you to utilise any installed Windows font into your templates and is capable of generating 2 Dimensional ECC200 and GS1 Datamatrix codes as well as Code 128 and GS1 128 1 Dimensional barcodes
Interceptus is available in 2 versions:- Interceptus Wristband and Interceptus Pro:
Interceptus Wristband enables barcode printing to GS1 standards by intercepting a print command from your PAS System. It converts the data into the required wristband design and prints it without user intervention or the need to develop the PAS whilst validating the output against NPSA guidelines
Interceptus Pro extends the functionality of Interceptus Wristband to fulfill barcode print requirements throughout the hospital environment across a variety of systems for Pharmacy labels, Blood and sample labels, Case Note labels and Asset labels for Track & Trace solutions.
Interceptus ensures NPSA SPN 24 guidelines can be met utilising our unique validation feature that converts your output into the recommended formats including: Case formatting of First & Surnames, Date & Time formats and NHS number grouping. Interceptus allows you to implement GS1 standards through the use of GS1 numbers, GS1 compliant datacarriers and GS1 recommendations for GSRN and additional local data can be met utilising built in expressions.
